All of the listed beaches are sandy (unless otherwise stated) with rock formations and foliage to create beautiful wedding memories and photographs.
This is the area around Makawao and Kula, the foothills of Haleakula Volcano. This area is a little cooler and can be rainier than the South and West sides.

Kula Botanical Gardens ~ Kula, Maui, Hawaii
This small botanical garden is on the slopes of Haleakula. There are nearly 2,000 varieties of plants, many of which are indigenous to Hawaii. There is a small stream through the center of the garden, over which is a bridge, a beautiful spot for a small ceremony, or there is an intricately detailed gazebo. The grassy lawn can hold a larger group. The garden has received awards and been featured in National Geographic. Fees apply.

Holy Ghost Mission ~ Waikaloa, Kula, Maui, Hawaii
This historical octagon shaped Catholic church built in 1894 by Portuguese immigrants is open to non-denominational wedding ceremonies. This building is listed in the National Registry of Historic Churches. Lower Kula Rd. Fees apply.
St Johns Episcopal Church ~ Keokea, Kula, Maui, Hawaii
This church was founded in 1900 by Chinese immigrants and the present structure was finished in 1907. It has beautiful grounds and plenty of opportunities for beautiful photographs. There is a small house on the grounds the bridal party may use for dressing. 212 Kula Highway. Fees apply.
