Tamera Sandvold
Tamera Sandvold has lived on Maui for nearly 10 years as a professional Wedding and Event Coordinator. In addition to weddings, she has worked on television and film productions, extreme sports competitions, along with television commercials and print advertisements (a brief list of productions would include: Fine Living Television, Pottery Barn, The Amazing Race, Xterra World Championship, and Red Bull King of the Air).
Tamera is a true romantic with a deep appreciation for having your special affair be perfect with attention to the fine points and confirmation that all is as planned. She is a keen listener seeking the nuances of the desires for your very special occasion. With respect for the Hawaiian culture and traditions, Tamera will assist you in fulfilling your dream of an enchanted wedding in paradise.
Jesse Abrams
Director of Marketing & Operations
Mr. Jesse Abrams has been living in Maui for five years now. In that time, Jesse, has worked as Director of Marketing for one of Maui's premier activity sales and boat charter companies. His responsibilities included hiring, training, and managing their Concierge Department, as well as negotiating, establishing, and maintaining contracts with Maui's many activity vendors.
Before returning to the place of his birth, Hawaii, Jesse worked as concierge and manager for some of New York City's top boutique hotels.
Jesse also spent three years as cruise director's staff and SCUBA instructor for Norwegian Cruise Lines. If you cruised with NCL in the Caribbean in the early 90's, you may already know him!
With Jesse's life time in customer service and top notch marketing skills, he brings a wealth of contacts and connections that continue to solidify Akia Weddings & Events' standing as one of the best wedding & special event planning companies on Maui.
